100,000 American Airlines Miles
A few days ago, one of my favorite blogs, The Points Guy, posted that Citibank is running a promotion on the Citi Executive AAdvantage MasterCard and awarding 100,000 American Airlines miles after you spend $10,000 in 3 months. Although the card comes with a hefty annual fee of $450, you will receive a one-time $200 statement credit after you make three purchases on the card. In addition, the card includes membership to the American Airlines Admirals Club (and now US Air Club).
I applied for the card but did not receive an immediate approval on the website. I got a confirmation email right away and after clicking a link to check my application status, chatted online with a Citibank representative who confirmed my details and approved my application. Several of my friends, many of whom never received a confirmation email, simply called up using the 800 number provided on screen after they completed their application and obtained approval over the phone.
There are plenty of ways to meet such a high minimum spending requirement without actually spending your own money: Vanilla Reloads and Amazon Payments are two of the most common. If you don’t know what these are, do a Google search or wait a few days for a posting about them. Meantime, apply for this card. Offers like these are not common at all!
